VOCATIONAL EDUCATION AND TRAINING AT THE OSZ

Have you finished school and now you want to start training? If so, you have two options. The traditional path is dual training. If you choose this path, you will learn your desired profession in two places: You attend Vocational Secondary School at the OSZ and learn all the practical aspects in your training company. The prerequisite for this is that you have signed an apprenticeship contract.

The second path is training at a so-called Berufsfachschule. For this, you do not need an apprenticeship contract with a company. The training takes place entirely at the OSZ and lasts two to three years — depending on the profession. In addition to training at the OSZ, you usually gain additional experience through internships. Even at the Berufsfachschule, you receive a recognised vocational qualification. You can then apply for a job with this.
