The protection of personal data is of utmost importance to us. Therefore, we operate the above-mentioned Internet portals in accordance with the applicable data protection and data security laws. For comprehensive information on these legal provisions, you can visit www.datenschutz.de. In particular, we are subject to the provisions of the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) and the Telemedia Act (TMG). According to these provisions, we are specifically authorised to collect, process and use personal data as far as this is necessary to establish, contentually design or modify the contractual relationship about the use of the portals and the services offered there (inventory data), to enable the use of the portals and the services offered there (usage data) and their billing (billing data).

We want to strengthen users' trust in our offer, and for this reason, we disclose how we handle personal data. You can learn here which information is collected and how the information is used.

COLLECTION AND PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA

Personal data is information about the personal or factual circumstances of a specific or identifiable natural person.

Each time a user accesses a page from the aforementioned Internet sites and each time a file is retrieved, data about this process is stored in a log file. This data (e.g. IP address, date, time and viewed pages) generally does not allow identification, and so it is not personal. There is also no personal use of this data. Only a statistical evaluation of anonymised data sets is reserved.

If registration is necessary for certain services, or if paid services are provided, we collect personal data such as first and last name, date of birth, postal address, payment method and payment data. As part of our personalised services, we may ask for additional information from you, such as your interests, phone number, gender, date of birth, etc. It is entirely up to you whether you enter this information.

We use this personal data to provide you with access to the fee-based and/or registration-required information and services of the portals as well as to provide and bill for the services. This data is processed and used exclusively for the purposes of the contract and to an extent necessary for the establishment, design, modification and fulfilment of the contractual relationship.

Cookies

Cookies are files that are stored on your hard drive. We only use cookies to store session-relevant information within a website. They automatically expire at the end of the session and are not stored permanently. Nor do we use any other techniques that serve to evaluate the user's access behaviour. However, we cannot exclude that so-called "AdServers" will use cookies when advertising banners are broadcast on the portals via External. We have no influence over this. For the use of such cookies and the information stored on them by our partners, please compare their privacy policies.

You can also deactivate the storage of cookies in your browser, limit it to certain websites or set your browser to notify you as soon as a cookie is sent. For more information on blocking cookies, see the help pages of your Internet browser.

However, please note that, in this case, you should expect a limited display of the respective pages and limited user guidance.

USE OF WEBFONTS

This website uses external fonts, Google Fonts. Google Fonts is a service of Google Inc. ("Google"). The integration of these web fonts is done by a server call, usually a server of Google in the US. This transmits to the server information about which of our internet pages you have visited. The IP address of the browser of the end device of the visitor of these Internet pages is also stored by Google. More information can be found in the privacy policy of Google, which you can access here:

  • www.google.com/policies/privacy/

OpenStreetMap

To display geo-data, we use the open-source mapping tool "OpenStreetMap" (OSM). OSM does not store any user data. For further details, please visit http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Legal_FAQ

SECURITY

We store your data on specially protected servers in Germany. Access to these servers is restricted to a limited number of authorised individuals involved in the technical, commercial or editorial care of these servers. We take precautions to ensure the security of your personal data. Your data are diligently protected against loss, destruction, distortion, manipulation and unauthorised access or unauthorised disclosure.

TRANSFER OF PERSONAL DATA TO THIRD PARTIES

Some of the services offered through the aforementioned portals are provided by third parties ("partners"), such as ad server operators. In this respect, the processing and use of these data are subject to the privacy policies of the respective partners. Our partners use cookies and dynamic IP addresses to create pseudonymous usage profiles to inform individual users about offers and advertisements specifically tailored to them. Most partners allow you to object to the processing and use of these usage profiles at any time by visiting their opt-out pages. We will not forward personal data to third parties who are not partners without your consent unless we are obliged to do so by the mandatory legal regulations. There is no transfer of personal data to third parties for advertising purposes.

OTHER DATA PROCESSING

Further processing and use of this data only occur if a legal provision expressly permits this or if the user has explicitly consented to the data processing or use.

LINKS TO OTHER WEBSITES

The aforementioned Internet portals and their subdomains contain links to other websites. We are not responsible for compliance with data protection regulations on these websites.

CHANGE TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

The advancement of the Internet and the aforementioned portals may also affect our Privacy Policy. We reserve the right to change this privacy statement in the future. If we intend to use your personal information in ways different from those stated at the time of collection in the Privacy Policy, we will attempt to notify you via email using the last known information. If notification is not possible, we will not use your personal information in a new way. In any case, a relevant notice will be provided via a highlighted announcement on the websites.
